Completed Procurement
– The Meter Data Management/Repository (MDM/R):
The IESO’s
responsibility for the Smart Metering System Implementation Program (SMSIP)
includes the delivery of the meter data management/repository (MDM/R)
functionality, including all interfaces between the MDM/R and various external
entities.
Procurement Process:
The SMSIP team has concluded a procurement process
for MDM/R Systems Integrator (SI) and MDM/R Operational Service Provider (OSP)
functions. As a first step in this
process, the SMSIP team issued an MDM/R Request for Information (RFI) on July 27,
2006, which is available for download (for information only) from this website
(below). The deadline for the RFI closed
on August 25th, 2006.
The RFI process was subsequently followed by the
MDM/R Request for Proposal (RFP). Pre-qualification through the RFI process was
a necessary requirement for responding to the RFP. The deadline for the RFP closed on October 5th,
2006. The SMSIP team has completed the
evaluation of all proposals, and is in the process of preparing a
recommendation.
