The IESO has redesigned its Smart Metering Entity (SME) website to support the electricity industry as it rolls time-of-use rates (TOU) across the province. The website is among several communications, customer service and operations programs the SME introduced to assist Local Distribution Companies with MDM/R integration and the achievement of Smart Metering Initiative targets.

It will also highlight provincial and industry smart metering and TOU progress.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the website. Use it as a source for MDM/R technical and design (see “The MDM/R”); registration and enrolment (select or click through the “Lifecycle” or “Resources” pages); and training information. It will also provide regular Smart Metering Initiative, industry, SME and MDM/R news updates and announcements.
