After an extensive evaluation, the IESO selected IBM Canada as the MDM/R’s Operational Service Provider (OPS) and is currently under contract with the company.  In accordance with the IESO’s commitment to fairness, an independent consulting service was hired to ­oversee the procurement process and to ensure that it was conducted impartially.

All Smart Metering Entity (SME) Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) are listed on the IESO’s website and available for review on the MERX website within its Private Tenders section. Vendors are encouraged to view and respond to current IESO opportunities through MERX.
