There are a variety of resources available to support companies participating in the Smart Metering Initiative.

The IESO sends a regular electronic newsletter “Toward Time of Use” to update participants on Time-of-Use and MDM/R integration progress. There are also a number of resources available to LDCs to support customer education efforts. The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has developed consumer materials for LDCs to inform and notify customers of the move to TOU rates. Contact Eric Dreyfuss for more information.

The IESO also created online tools, including 10 Smart Meter Lane and Time-of-Use Rates at Work, to support TOU rate awareness among residential and small business consumers. LDCs have the option to embed the microsites in their company websites.
